Baked Rotini Casserole

Baked Rotini Casserole

For the rotini...
1 bag rotini pasta
1 tsp Italian seasoning
1/2 tsp sea salt
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp black pepper
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Extra virgin olive oil to grease casserole dish
In a large pot of water, add all the seasonings and pasta... Boil for 5-7 minutes (partially cooked). Drain, cold water rinse and toss in Parmesan cheese. Grease casserole dish. Arrange rotini's in casserole dish, standing up.
For the meat sauce (use your own or give this a try)...
2 lbs extra lean ground beef
1 onion, chopped
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 tsp Italian seasoning
1 tsp basil
1 tsp black pepper
1/2 tsp sea salt
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
1 large jar/can tomato sauce if your choice
Water
Instructions:
Shredded cheese mix (mozzarella, cheddar and jalapeño cheese)
Brown ground beef. Add the onions, garlic and seasonings... Cook until onions have softened up a bit (5 minutes or so). Add half of the sauce... Stir well and cook for another 5 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool. Preheat oven to 400F. Pour meat sauce mix over top of arranged rotini. Using your hands or a spatula try and push the meat into the rotini... Do as much as you can... You won't get it all! Take the other 1/2 of the tomato sauce and add an equal amount of water... Stir or shake in jar then pour over top of casserole. Cover with foil and bake for 40 minutes. Remove from oven, uncover and toss cheese on top. Bake, uncovered for another 15 minutes. Remove, serve and enjoy!

TASTY TUESDAY RECIPE: Fish Tacos

Fish Tacos

Ingredients:

8 Talapia Fillets (You can substitute with the fish of your choice)
seasoning of choice
1 c. coleslaw
taco sauce
10 corn tortillas
olive oil

Instructions:

Cook fish either by frying or baking without batter, just using seasoning of choice. When done, place fish into a bowl and slightly break apart into smaller pieces.
Heat corn tortillas according to your routine method of choice. Add fish, coleslaw and taco sauce.

Plate and eat immediately.

Ingredients:
Organic baby spinach
Chopped red pepper
Chopped cucumber 
Sunflower seeds 
Sliced roast chicken breast
Salad Dressing of choice

Instructions:
Mixed together in a large salad bowl and serve.  ENJOY!!

Carrot Apple Salad

Ingredients:
3 medium carrots
1 tsp. lemon juice (fresh or ReaLemon)
1/4 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 c. dried cranberries (Craisins)
2 Tbsp. cherry yogurt

Instructions:
Peel carrots and apple. Remove core from apple. Shred carrots and apple into large bowl. Add lemon juice and mix to coat well. This helps the apples not turn brown.
Add other ingredients into bowl and combine well. Place in refrigerator at least 1 hour before serving. If you have longer, that is best. Helps the flavors to marry together and give a nice flavor to your salad.
Serve on a bed of leaf lettuce or enjoy alone.

"I don't normally take pictures and don't usually share, but felt it was time. 

Hi all, My name is Netti Gurulé and I have been consistently taking my Skinny fiber for 9 months, I have not exercised although I know I should as you can see from the pictures consistency does pay off. I have lost 40 pounds and have finally joined the gym and decided to take that step to lose the last ten to reach my initial goal of 50. The second pic is not the greatest but the shirt is the same one and in actuality I feel bad for the shirt... lol"

90 Day Challenge Week 3 Challenge

CHALLENGE OF THE WEEK

This week's extra challenge is an awesome one, and quite honestly, it's something you should be doing regardless of me telling you to. :)

Your challenge this week is to WALK FOR 2 0 MINUTES EACH DAY.

That's it.

Not only will it help with your weigh loss results, but it will help in SO many other aspects of your life.

In fact, here is a list of 10 things that walking every day can do for you.

4.  Increase bone density/lower risk of Osteoporosis

10.  Helps you LOSE WEIGHT

20 minutes is NOTHING.  It's easier than you think.  And if you can do it this week, keep it going for the FULL 90 DAYS.

Tasty Tuesday Recipe #1: Frozen Yogurt Cones

Frozen Yogurt Cones

Ingredients:
1 c. whipped cream
2 c. Dannon 80 calorie yogurt
1 c. frozen cherries or fruit of choice
8 Ice cream cones, regular

Instructions:
Combine whipped cream and yogurt together until well blended. Add desired amount of fruit and toss lightly. Reserve 8 cherries for topping with later.
Scoop into each cone and top with a piece of fruit. Place in freezer for at least 2 hrs. before devouring into them.
Warning: Once you have "ice cream" like this, you will find it your go-to "ice cream" from now on because it is so much healthier and tastes great too!
